The Syracuse University Institute for Artificial Intelligence seeks to advance the field of AI that will enable a future of resilient AI systems that lead to high impact applications. The Institute focuses on areas such as security, multidomain intelligence, socio-cognitive dynamics, and governance and policy. These areas span multiple disciplines. The institute bring together faculty specializing in a variety of subfields of AI, spanning multiple dimensions including machine learning, symbolic AI, trustworthy AI systems, applied AI, AI hardware, AI embedded in human systems, and governance/policy aspects.
